WHSB Biologist explore DNA in Year 9 and 10
Biologists in Years 9 and 10 have been exploring the molecular world of genes by delving into the intricacies of DNA. Studying the double helix unlocks the secrets of life itself, and understanding how our bodies work at the molecular level is crucial for developing improved disease treatments.
As part of building knowledge and understanding in the topics of inheritance and evolution, pupils are required to have a good grasp of the structure and function of DNA. To this end, they were tasked with making models using a range of items that could easily be found at home. As you can see, our students demonstrated their mastery and creativity when presenting their models of this famed molecule. Well done to all, and our thanks to Mr Selukwe for inspiring the pupils.
