LAMDA Examinations success for Summer 2024

Earlier this term, the School was proud to celebrate the success of those pupils who took the LAMDA Examinations in Summer 2024 and passed with flying colours. More than 170 pupils from Years 7 to 10 studied for the LAMDA examination during the last academic year, and we are delighted that almost everybody passed with Merit or Distinction in all three pathways - Acting, Public Speaking, and Speaking Verse and Prose.

We also celebrated the pupils’ success on the stage with the awarding of Drama Colours to our actors and backstage helpers. This reflected a particularly successful year in which our performance of Les Misérables gained two National Schools Theatre Awards.

This week, our talented actors take to the stage once more (Wednesday 11 – Friday 13 December), for our sell-out Christmas show ‘The Box of Delights’, an early festive treat for all the family. Well done to all our actors on their outstanding achievements in Drama, and our thanks to Mr Jeffreys for his continuing inspiration and support for the pupils involved. Thanks also to Ms Cleave, Edmund (Upper Sixth) and our technical producers who have contributed greatly to this production.
