Old Westcliffian Association Annual Dinner at Westcliff High School for Boys
Old Westcliffian Association Annual Dinner at WHSB
On Friday 10 September, it was with great pleasure that Westcliff High School for Boys opened its doors once again to the Old Westcliffian Association (OWA) for its annual dinner in the School Hall. The OWA was founded in 1926 when the School was relocated to its present site at Kenilworth Gardens and, each year, the Old Boys of the School still gather to reminisce and reconnect with old friends. This is also an opportunity to meet current pupils and to celebrate the developments at the School.
Mike Skelly (Headmaster and Chairman of the OWA), Alderman David Norman (President of the OWA) and Nivasan Loganathan (Head Boy) addressed the guests during the evening. They were joined this year by Andrew Lewis, Acting CEO of Southend Borough Council, whose two sons attended the School. Mr Lewis delivered an engaging and insightful speech on the current challenges faced by the Council and progress its progress in relation to economic recovery, post COVID-19.
