Ties Awarded for achievements
Well done to the CCF Cadets who were presented with CCF Ties during our recent celebration Assembly. The CCF Ties recognise exceptional achievement and these were presented to Raffi (Upper Sixth, Army Section Training Sergeant Major) who successfully completed the Senior Cadet Instructor Course, and Nevin (Upper Sixth, Army Section Cadet Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant), who also completed the Senior Cadet Instructor Course, before also attending the Master Cadet Course.
Four Cadets from the Royal Navy Section (George, Warrant Officer Class 1; Lexi, Warrant Officer Class 2; Rhys, Petty Officer; and George, Petty Officer) also received CCF Ties in recognition of their success in completing the Senior Leadership Course at the Britannia Royal Naval College, where regular, reservist, and CCF Royal Navy Officers complete their training. The training completed by these Cadets was at the highest level, and the presentations were very well deserved.
We would also like to congratulate Jamie, Kaylan, Nevin, and Samuel (Upper Sixth), and Sebastian (Lower Sixth) who received the prestigious Award of 30 Club Membership during the same celebration Assembly. These Awards recognise the students’ sustained and exceptional service in fields from Music to Drama, to School Clubs, and a great deal of Community Service. All are worthy members of the 30 Club.
The 30 Club was created to balance the award of sporting Colours with an additional Colours system intended to reward non-sporting representation and contribution to the life of the School. The membership of the 30 Club never exceeds thirty students (Year 10 to Upper Sixth), and the members receive a 30 Club tie to wear in recognition of their outstanding contribution to School life.
We are proud of all these students, and we would like to thank the WHSB Staff who have supported them with these exceptional achievements.
