A fantastic evening of festive music was had by all who attended our Christmas celebration with WHSB’s Big Band on Friday evening.

The School Hall was transformed with twinkling lights and tinsel, and pupils, parents, staff and friends gathered to enjoy a fitting start to the festive season.

First to take to the stage was our superb Jazz Band (directed by Mr Barrett), followed by the enormously talented Sixth Form Band, Spectrum. Our outstanding Westcliff Big Band headlined, with a wonderful programme of hits covering a variety of styles and, of course, some classic Christmas crackers!

Well done to our talented musicians who treated our audience to an enjoyable evening, and to Mr Derrick and Mr Wood, who teach and inspire our musicians. We would also like to thank the Parents’ Association for providing the bar and refreshments for the evening, and the many pupils, parents, staff and friends who attended to support this sell-out celebration. Well done to all involved.
