The Spring Term saw WHSB excel on the rugby field, with our Year 9 Team winning the Rugby Essex Cup 7s Competition, held at the Westcliff Rugby Club, without conceding a try throughout their group games. The team they faced in the semi-final gave tough competition, with WHSB winning in the final plays of the game.

In the final, WHSB faced another of the strongest teams in the county, and one to which they had previously lost. However, our Year 9 pupils rose to the challenge, playing incredibly well and winning comfortably, 25-10. Outstanding performances on the day came from Crawford, Reggie, Clay and Benaiah.

Congratulations to the Year 9 Team on this fantastic achievement, and we thank Mr Morrant and the other staff in the Physical Education Department for their support to the pupils in training and preparation for the competition.
